Farmers Market Fund is seeking volunteer board members!
Apply here by September 30th 2024
What We Do
At Farmers Market Fund we make healthy, locally grown fruits and vegetables accessible to families and individuals throughout Oregon who are food insecure. We are looking for passionate and committed individuals to join our board and support our mission of providing healthy fresh foods to Oregonians experiencing food insecurity.
FMF’s main program is Double Up Food Bucks (DUFB), a SNAP matching program at farmers markets across Oregon. We believe DUFB is a triple win: families bring home more fruits and veggies, small and mid-sized farmers get a financial boost, and Oregon’s economy thrives.
This is an exciting time of growth for FMF. Thanks to state and federal funding, as well as generous partners and individual donors, we have expanded DUFB to farmers markets and farm stands in every corner of the state as well as to select grocery stores and community supported agriculture (CSA) boxes. We are also diving into planning for the future growth and expansion of the organization.
FMF is run by a small staff and an active board of directors. We are excited to grow our board with members from across Oregon who share our passion for supporting local farms and ensuring all Oregonians have access to nutritious, locally-grown fruits and veggies.
